This is the busiest time of the year for many of us entrepreneurs. We’re closing out the year, getting ready for the new year, hosting family dinner parties, travel, and planning the big company holiday party… all while in the midst of running Black Friday sales and social media campaigns. To call it a busy time of the year would be a gross understatement. But we’re going to push thru. Somehow, someway we have to find time to rest but also prepare for the new year. Now you don’t have to wait until the new year to start, you can start whenever the mood moves you but for most they like to start with a fresh start for the new year. Every year I create a year end list of shit to have together to make sure I’m starting off the year prepared and ready to hit the ground running. This year is no different. I’m starting off the year with new projects, new clients, and a new full time job in the middle of their holiday season so that means overtime fresh out of training. But when you know what’s ahead of you for the year and have minor tasks completed it’s easier to get work done more efficiently and in a timely manner. I would even say it allows for you to take more time off while still generating income. My yearly to do list doesn’t change much so if you want to add to it for next year just leave a comment below. Hopefully this will help some of you that might have been procrastinating but know it’s time to buckle down and get to work.

So you have 42 days to complete roughly 27 tasks. It’ll be a challenge but we can do this. I’ll do doing this challenge right along with you guys using the hash tag #gettinmyishtogether on Instagram.

If you’re a VIP member I’ll be dropping the link to a PDF version of the list that you can print and keep track of later today.

A planner you’ll love and put to use
I’ve been a huge fan of Day Designer (Day Designer for Target) planners which are typically on an academic cycle from summer to summer instead January to December. Plum Paper Planner or Sugar Paper LA would be my next option.

Your business plan or yearly update of your existing plan
Heading into the year you want to reflect on your original mission statement and purpose to amend your plan accordingly.

Check out your horoscope or get a tarot reading
In a perfect world I could get monthly readings from one of my favorite personal online friends but she’s busy and I can’t put that type of pressure on her. I try to get quarterly readings, so by the beginning of the year comes around I’ll be ready for new one. There’s lots of women running successful businesses doing online readings. They can be hard to find and I’m thinking about doing a roundup of the ones I would go to. If that’s a post you’d want to see let me know in the comments.
